ODOS Secures €680,000 to Advance Sustainability in the Agri-food Sector

ODOS AgTech Sustainability Funding

Dublin, Ireland, 9 July 2025 — ODOS, an Irish start-up focused on climate action in the agri-food sector, has secured €680,000 in funding. The round was led by Capsa Food (Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana), along with TTAF by CLAVE and Angels, the investment firm linked to Juan Roig and Marina de Empresas.

ODOS simplifies climate data collection and provides profitable strategies to agri-food companies, enabling them to act on climate goals without affecting productivity. With this investment, ODOS plans to strengthen its technology and expand into new markets across Europe.

Founders and Mission

Co-founded by Alejandro Vergara and Cian White — both former researchers — ODOS is a spin-out from University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin. The company is currently supported by Lanzadera, a prominent accelerator based in Valencia.

ODOS enables cooperatives and farmers to measure, report, and verify their environmental impact while keeping up with increasing regulatory and climate expectations.

Statements from Investors

“The trust our investors place in our mission gives us strength to scale our impact,” said Alejandro Vergara, CEO of ODOS. “Agriculture contributes nearly 15% of global greenhouse emissions. Helping this sector transition is vital to fighting climate change.”

Pepe Peris, MD of Angels, added: “ODOS delivers a scalable solution rooted in science and focused on real environmental outcomes.”

Rubén Hidalgo, Innovation Director at CAPSA Food, noted: “Alejandro and Cian ensure a dual objective — to support entrepreneurial talent and strengthen the dairy industry through sustainability and tech.”

Company Vision

ODOS currently employs 11 people from 9 nationalities and is guided by a board of directors that complements the founders’ scientific and strategic expertise.
